Valuable Links For Your Life-Aug 24-08
Published August 24th, 2008This past week the site participated in two carnivals. There were as always some very valuable tools and practical information from some extremely knowledgeable bloggers. You’ll notice it’s an interesting mix this week, but these were the posts I felt most important to highlight for Value For Your Life readers–enjoy!
The Festival of Frugality traveled on over to Our Fourpence Worth this week. I quite enjoyed this very positive tribute to Michael Phelps (the superstar U.S. Olympic swimmer). Many posts stood out, but these two were my faves:
- The Happy Rock’s post called The little things, starting to trim the budget resonates with a lot of people, and definitely brought some good discussion and tips in the comment section.
- The Q Family Adventure wrote a very helpful post about 13 Uses For Vinegar. We are gradually phasing out the few commercial cleaning products that we use, and I found this post to have some great information all on one place!
Living Almost Large hosted the Carnival of Money Stories this week. I love a good story, and the following two posts were exceptional:
- Penny Jobs explores Do What You Love or Love What You Do? I find this post especially relevant in an era where people are changing careers multiple times during their working life and also considering options like telecommuting for shorter workweeks.
- Free Money Finance encourages you to Share Your Good Boss Story. I think we learn a lot from both good and bad bosses. It was refreshing to read a post sharing some positive stories about this subject!
That was it for this week, I’m already looking froward to see what great reading material the blogosphere will bring us next week!
