Valuable Links For Your Life Aug 1-08
Published August 2nd, 2008This was an especially busy week for me, but the one thing I did do was read my favourite blog carnivals. I participated in two of these weekly collections of terrific writing, and here are this week’s picks that I think Value For Your Life readers will appreciate:
The Festival of Frugality rolled in to Student Scrooge, who really took one for the team by taking on hosting duties at the last minute and pulled it off in a great way! My top frugal choices:
- Almost Frugal’s post about the ABCs Of Frugality is both entertaining and practical–I especially love the tip about catnip!
- Home Ec 101’s post on Meal Planning wasn’t just a straight “how to”, it tackles some of the issues surrounding it, and gives some great tips. I agree, you need to be brave and willing to experiment–just like many other things in life!
The Carnival of Money Stories traveled to Stop the Ride this week for an ABC themed offering. As usual there were some terrific posts, but these two stood out for me:
- Madison’s post over at My Dollar Plan called I Quit! This post made me smile, I love hearing about people following their hearts–congrats!
- The Digerati Life says Increase the Value of Your Home With a Few Simple, Affordable Changes. I couldn’t agree more, you’d be surprised how much cleanliness and tidiness can induce a buyer in to feeling like they can just move right into your home.
