Weekly Carnival Craziness
Published March 19th, 2008Time for another weekly round up: I have to say, it’s been quite a week. Yesterday this site hit a new high for visitors! Woo hoo!
This was in large part to the following great blog carnivals:
The St. Patrick’s Day Carnival of Personal Finance was held at Being Frugal, and what a carnival it was. I appreciate the inclusion of my post on 6 Ways to Avoid the Cost of Procrastination. A big thank you for organizing such a large carnival this week!
My favourites were:
- Five Cent Nickel’s post on Middle Class Millionaires. Some very interesting food for thought here…I can identify with many of these points…except for the millionaire part!
- A Penny Closer reflects on 6 Easy Ways to Battle Rising Food Costs. I like the soup and sandwich night idea.
- Mighty Bargain Hunter asks Have You Planned for Your Refund and Rebate? I’m with you on this, the sooner you put it in writing, the less likely the money will disappear into thin air!
The fabulous Festival of Frugality is up at I’ve Paid For this Twice Already. The theme of practical application of frugality will be really useful to everyone one. A big thank you for including My 25% Grocery Savings Rule as an editor’s pick!
These articles stood out for me:
- Less Than a Shoestring’s Baring My Budget–Malta. Two of my favourite things; getting a great deal, and seeing the world.
- Money Under Thirty’s Is it Okay to Get married with Debt? I just crossed the thirty line a few weeks ago, but I’ll comment anyway:) I’m okay with it as long as communication and financial literacy are priorities.
- Northern Cheapskate’s post about How the Flu Shot Can Save You Money. You and everyone around you can benefit from this simple tip.
Last but not least, if you love dogs, check out the Canine Carnival every Friday over at Pamibe. Thanks for including my post Puppy…or No Puppy.
