Weekly Blog Carnival Extravaganza!
Published May 30th, 2008What a week for carnivals! So much great information, I’m in overload mode.
A fellow Canadian blog hosted the Carnival of Personal Finance this week! Tim over at Canadian Dream: Free at 45 did a stand up job. A big thank you for including my post about Holiday Budget Travel Tips. As usual there were a lot of quality posts, but the following stood out for me:
- I’ve Paid For This Twice Already wrote a post called Tracking Pennies: Making the Abstract Concrete, I think this is a very important lesson on the road to financial freedom.
- Along a similar line of thinking, I liked My Dollar Plan’s post on Turning Your Wasted Money Into A Debt Reduction Plan
- To help counter the expensive pain most commuters are feeling right now, Smart Money Life writes about Three Ways Your Boss Can Save You Money On Gas
Funny About Money did a wonderful first-time job of hosting the Festival of Frugality this week. I really appreciate the inclusion of my post about my Top 10 Dollar Store/99 Cent Store Values. These posts were my favourites this time around:
- Raymond over at Money Blue Book took the time to write this post with some great information for anyone venturing to explore the world of online surveys in How to Make Money With Paid Online Surveys and Avoid Internet Scams
- My Good Cents tackles a topic that’s been on my mind lately: How I organize my coupons. Her post has been a call to action to me, I’ve put all of my coupons in one place, and will be deciding on a long overdue organizing system this weekend!
- The Personal Financier talks about Budgeting for Unexpected Finances…I agree with what she’s saying…I’m all about planning ahead.
That’s all for now, happy reading!
