Thursday’s Best of The Carnivals
Published June 19th, 2008I tried something new this week: I visited a couple of different carnivals than I normally do. What were the results? I found some really great posts relevant to the subjects I write about here at Value For Your Life! So my Thursday gift to you is my picks of the best posts I found this week and hope you find them useful.
Without further delay…
The Festival of Frugality was hosted over at Out of Debt Again, great job hosting this week! I love the three little pigs theme and appreciate the inclusion of my post about Frugality and Multi-Tasking.
- Remodeling This Life writes about the Frugal Indulgences. I agree, some of my most vivid memories looking back are of doing simple things with the people and animals I love, or just spending time outdoors by myself.
- Cheap Healthy Good made me a very happy girl with this post Summer Cooking: 60 Cheap Healthy Marinades!
- Broke Grad Student made me smile, with his take on 6 Ways a Boyfriend/Girlfriend Can Save you Money, this post brought me back to my university days, and when I first started dating my husband!
Carnival of Travel Guide
- Restore Your Faith and Finances wrote a good post with links to 10 offers for free gas this travel season in Free Gas With Purchase. Maybe you’ll find one that applies to you!
- Visit the Coqui gives some great suggestions (including names and phone numbers) of things to do if you have 48 Hours in San Juan. I was lucky enough to spend a short amount of time in this beautiful place, and visited the fort San Cristobel, then took a tour of the Bacardi factory–with sampling afterwards
The Carnival of Money Stories
- Terry Dean’s post From a Sale to An Experience is a must read for anyone who owns a business or works with the public–I agree completely with what he’s saying.
- Can I Get Rich On a Salary’s post Looking Back 10 Years and More Than $1,000,000 Ago is entertaining, and might just be the kind of inspiration you need to get your finances in order and move forward with your goals.
