Festival of Frugality Roundup
Published May 9th, 2008
Another week of solid articles at the Festival of Frugality! This week, the carnival is hosted by Dawn at one of my favourite frugality sites: Frugal for Life. A lot of people have the economy and making the most out of the money they have on their minds, so my top picks speak to that this week. Put on some comfy clothes, get a snack, and pay Dawn’s site a visit for the latest installment of this great carnival!
The Dough Roller writes a good post summing up the major areas we can save on gas with 25 Ways to Save on Gas. The only one I have to add to this is to avoid idling when possible ie. Use drive-through services less.
The Digerati Life presents a post titled Saving Money Is In! The Recession Diet and the Shift To Frugal Living. This post is about our society’s return to frugal living–I especially like the comparison chart she found at the end.
Finally Frugal writes a post that speaks about the human condition called Frugal Envy. I think this post is very relevant to a lot of readers who are having to make lifestyle changes in order to accommodate current economic conditions.
That’s it from here, happy reading!
