Best of the Festival of Frugality

Published April 16th, 2008

This week brought a huge Festival of Frugality, hosted over at Rather-Be-Shopping.com Blog.  A big shout out to Kyle for your efforts in organizing such a substantial carnival!  Also, thanks for the honour of choosing my post outlining 100 Frugal and Healthy Eating Habits as one of the editor’s picks.

I’ve spent a few hours reading so many quality articles this week, and almost couldn’t decide which were my faves, but here goes:

Greener Pastures: Personal Finance wrote a great post with 25 Life Tips and Tricks.  I love it–most of these tips are unique and very practical.

Ready To Be Rich writes about Little Known Ways to Save Money When Eating Out.  An interesting post, talking about navigating the line between spending money you shouldn’t on eating out, and fostering relationships over food with your co-workers.

SavingAdvice.com has a helpful post about Free (or Nearly Free) Entertainment for Every Week of the Year. Some great ideas here, but even better, many of these could be applied to a frugal holiday as well!
